SECOND CHANCE SCHOOL OF VOLOS

33 students and teachers of the Second Chance School of Volos have completed the Basic First Aid Training Programme under the guidance and supervision of Ms Samiou K., Red Cross trainer - branch of Volos.

The Second Chance School of Volos takes part in the Panhellenic Contest of Short Films with the theme "One planet...one chance", organised by the Serres Directorate of Primary Education, the Greek Radio-Television, the short film festival of Drama and the Educational Radio-Television.

The Second Chance School of Volos participates in the Grundtvig Learning Partnership "We are similar, we are different...we are Europeans". This is the second year of the programme. All the relevant information and the activities can be found on the website of the programme. Partners are from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Ireland.

• The 4th meeting of the programme took place from the 18 until 23 October 2011 in Volos, Greece. The programme of the meeting included visits to the archeological museum of Volos and the archeological site of Vergina, guided tour in Volos and Makrinitsa, trip with the little train of Pelio and many other activities that brought our partners in contact with the tradition and culture of our region.
• The 5th meeting of the programme took place from the 14 until 18 March 2012 in Napoli, Italy.
• The 6th meeting of the programme took place from the 18 until 24 June 2012 in Noia, Spain. That was the last meeting of the two year learning partnership. The following teachers and students took part in this meeting: Linos Vigklas, Garyfallia Lemoni, George Matzafleris, Evangelia Charisi, Giannoula Fili, George Chalatsis.
