SECOND CHANCE SCHOOL OF VOLOS

The Second Chance School of Volos participates in the European project "Mind Mosaic", a teaching tool on the European Charter of Fundamental Rights. This pedagogical tool was piloted this year in 300 schools in five countries: the Czech Republic, Estonia, Ireland, Greece and Romania. Maria Skoura, teacher of Social education in Second Chance School of Volos is the coordinator of the project.

The Second Chance School of Volos also participates in the Network of School Innovation.

This is the second year of the GRUNDTVIG learning partnership in which the Second Chance School of Volos participates together with other organisations from Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain. The title of the programme is " Ways of attracting adults to keep learning".

• The 4th meeting took place from the 20 to 25 October 2009, in Napoli, Italy. The Second Chance School of Volos was represented by the director of the school, Mrs Maria Dolgyra, the coordinator of the programme, Mr Linos Vigklas and the teacher, Ms Despina Dimou.
• The 5th meeting took place from the 16 to 21 March 2010 in Volos.
• The 6th meeting took place from the 20 to 25 May 2010, in Varna, Bulgaria. Twelve persons (9 learners and 3 teachers) from the Second Chance School of Volos participated in this meeting.
