SECOND CHANCE SCHOOL OF VOLOS

The project "The web radio station of the Second Chance School of Volos as a platform for expression of a learning community" was selected among the 100 top innovative projects in the competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs. The Second Chance School of Volos during the academic year 2009-2010 participated in the European project "Mind Mosaic". More info at http://ideomosaiko.blogspot.com/

The participation of the Second Chance School of Volos in the educational partnership GRUNDTVIG was approved for the next two years. The title of the program is " We are similar, we are different...we are Europeans". In the program they're participating schools from Italy, Spain, Ireland and Portugal.

• The first meeting under the above program took place from the 19th until the 24th of October in the city Noia of Spain. The Second Chance School of Volos was represented by the Director of the school Paraskevi Shoretsianitou and the program Director Vigklas Linos.
• The second meeting of the programme took place from the 4th until the 9th of March in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Linos Vigklas and Maria Skoura, teachers in the Second Chance School participated in this meeting.
• The third meeting of the programme took place from the 14th until the 21st of June in Ballina, Republic of Ireland. Linos Vigklas, Garyfallia Lemoni and Alkis Plakias, teachers at SDE Volou and Konstantia Koutsona, Eleni Mpouki, John Roushiti, George Matzafleris and George Chalatsis, students at SDE participated in this meeting.
